Graduate Fashion Week appoints Munroe Bergdorf as global ambassador and unveils 2022 schedule

The Graduate Fashion Foundation has announced the full physical and digital event schedule for Graduate Fashion Week 2022, taking place from 20-24 June at Coal Drops Yard in London.

English model and activist Munroe Bergdorf will join Graduate Fashion Week as its 21st Global Ambassador, aiming to support and champion the next generation of creative talents.

For the first time since 2019, Graduate Fashion Week will welcome a full audience back to the runway, with 15 catwalk shows featuring work from 25 universities.

Running alongside the catwalk will be a series of events held within the GFW Dome presentation space that will feature work from an additional four universities.

Samsung KX will host a series of GFW talks throughout the week from fashion experts including Nadja Swarovski, Teatum Jones and Jimmy Choo. Alongside platforms such as Fashion Minority Alliance, UK Black Comms Network and Sara Blonstein, Founder of the eponymous agency Blonstein.

GFW will also feature an exhibition of work from its 40 UK Member Universities and a Retail Trail with graduate work being showcased in stores across Coal Drops Yard including Tom Dixon, Fred Perry and Cos.

For those unable to attend, a free portal will livestream event content, runway shows, GFW Live! industry talks and exclusively host 37 creative university fashion films. Users can also interact with the content via live chat.
