Global Fashion Agenda releases fashion industry sustainability targets
Global Fashion Agenda, co-authored with its strategic partners including Asos, Bestseller, H&M, Kering, Li & Fung, Nike, PVH Corp, Sustainable Apparel Coalition and Target have come together to publish a new guide designed to help industry leaders on their journey towards environmental and social sustainability.
The CEO Agenda 2020 has been launched during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where industry leaders gather to investigate new business models and implement innovation to create new business opportunities.
The CEO Agenda 2020 report shines a light on biodiversity, integrating it within the core priorities of the report - Supply Chain Traceability, Reversing Climate Change, Efficient Use of Water, Energy and Chemicals, and within the transformational priority Sustainable Material Mix.
Other topics included in the report include climate change, the environmental impact of fossil fuels and human rights. It also lists four transformational priorities for fundamental change: sustainable material mix; a circular fashion system; the promotion of better wage systems; and a 'fourth industrial revolution'.
The report highlights are available online via Global Fashion Agenda's website.
