French luxury womenswear and accessories brand Gerard Darel has opened a 1,937 sq ft flagship store at 221 Regent Street, set over two floors and now housing its AW26 collection, as well as art, vintage furnishings and “artisanal objects”.

The opening coincides with the launch of Gerard Darel’s AW26 campaign starring American model and actress Dree Hemingway, the great-granddaughter of iconic author Ernest Hemingway, for the second consecutive season.

The new store has been “conceived as a Parisian’s London apartment” and the interior combines soft architectural lines with terrazzo, travertine, wrought iron, warm oak and elm wood.

The Regent Street flagship complements the brand's other established London boutiques on Marylebone High Street and on the King's Road, offering the full collection of ready-to-wear, accessories and iconic pieces including the ‘24H Bag’, ‘Anna Jeans’ and the brand’s signature trench coat.

David Maruani, Chairman of Gerard Darel, said: “Regent Street, with its unique blend of heritage and cosmopolitan energy, is the ideal setting to express Gerard Darel’s effortless Parisian spirit.

“Our new corner flagship serves as a powerful window to the world and marks a significant step in our UK development, strengthening our connection with British and international customers who value craftsmanship, timeless style and modern femininity.”

The Regent Street opening builds on strong international momentum as Gerard Darel continues to expand across key global markets. The company has reached £137 million in turnover, delivering consistent 10% year-on-year growth, with a positive outlook through 2026.

Today, Gerard Darel, which was founded in Paris in 1971 by Danièle and Gérard Darel and is sold by John Lewis in the UK, operates 250 owned boutiques and shop-in-shop locations, alongside 230 wholesale and franchise partners, reinforcing its international footprint.

The Regent Street corner flagship is described as “a strategic milestone” in the brand’s expansion, reinforcing the brand’s UK and international presence following recent flagship openings on Madison Avenue in New York, as well as in Dubai and China.

David Maruani added: “Our vision is to bring Parisian elegance to every corner of the world while staying true to the authentic spirit of the brand.”
