George at Asda appoints former Reiss Director as Vice President
Clothing and home brand George at Asda has appointed former Reiss Director Karl Doyle as its Vice President.
Doyle will bring 30 years of experience to his new role, having held senior positions at large retailers including Mothercare, The Very Group, M&S and Next. He left his most recent position as Executive Group Commercial Director at Reiss in October 2021, after four years at the business.
Doyle said on his LinkedIn profile that he has a "proven track record of positive sales delivery, managing transformational change and comprehensively tackling large complex budgets to achieve maximum bottom line profit."
Former FatFace CEO Liz Evans, took over as Managing Director of George at Asda last September. She succeeded Steph Strike, who left George earlier that year.
In January 2021 Asda's new owners, Mohsin and Zuber Issa were reportedly considering a spin-off of the supermarket's George fashion business as they said to believe it was outside their area of expertise.
