GCDS join Clarks for luxury footwear collection
Italian fashion house GCDS has partnered with the British shoe brand Clarks for a luxury loafer and mule collection.
Shot by photographer Pietro Cocco, the GCDS x Clarks advertising campaign takes customer on a journey through different worlds. Inspired by the mix between Clarks’ timeless aesthetic and GCDS’ penchant for reinvention, customers are to "meet the unexpected", according to the brand.
GCDS’ Creative Director Giuliano Calza brings the genderless designs into various settings, from days at the office to after-dark raves. Each design is both polished and contemporary, from the mules to the loafers.
Giuliano Calza commented: “The starting point was to create a formal loafer that everyone could wear. The aim of the project was to design the perfect shoes for both elegant and everyday use. As a kid, I always believed Clarks were the shoes for important occasions, and now, thanks to this amazing collaboration between us, I think these are the right shoes for any occasion."
The GCDS x Clarks collaboration launched globally on 4 November and is available online at Clarks and GCDS, as well as in select boutiques worldwide. Penny pockets start at £45, mules start at £230 and loafers start at £240.
