Gap signs footwear licensing agreement with Unlimited Footwear Group

Gap has secured a new strategic licensing partnership with Unlimited Footwear Group (UFG) to design, produce, and distribute its footwear across several European markets.

The American lifestyle brand said the deal, brokered by IMG, will offer Gap-branded footwear throughout the EU, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Scandinavia.

UFG’s The Heritage Footwear Company division will manage Gap Footwear collections, with plans to launch two collections a year at a mid-price level. The collection will be distributed through its international sales network of both multi-brand fashion and sports retail and through wholesale and various online platforms.

Gap's first footwear collection by UFG will launch in Spring/Summer 2023, featuring elevated and responsibly produced products for men, women and children.

Since announcing its intention to bring to market complementary products that embody its brand, Gap has entered a number of licensing partnerships, including the launch of Gap Home with US supermarket Walmart.
