02 December 2019

Preppy lifestyle brand Gant has promoted its executive VP of global markets and sales, Patrik Söderström, to take over from Brian Grevy as the brand’s new CEO from 1 February 2020.

Chairman of the board, Thierrry Guibert, says: “Patrik has been a key player in the global management team and I am happy to appoint him as CEO. His understanding of how to lead and navigate the commercial business in today’s rapidly changing retail environment, while having a strong understanding of the power of the brand, has already proven invaluable for the growth at Gant. Looking ahead, his passionate leadership will be vital as we continue the Gant journey”.

Söderström holds an extensive background within business, sales, and management. Prior to Gant, he held the position as North European managing director at Luxottica and, before that, he spent eight years at Reebok where he held several positions - both on a Nordic and European level.

“I am honoured and proud to take on this new role,’’ says Söderström. “With great results on a global level, it’s an exciting time for Gant. During the past year we have built a strong and powerful team. Now our focus will be to continue on the successful journey we are on, to keep elevating our brand and products, and to keep growing - in both new and existing markets.”

Brian Grevy is stepping down after four years at Gant to become an executive board member for Adidas Group’s global brands. He joined Gant in 2016 as chief marketing officer before being promoted to CEO in June 2018. His last day at Gant will be on 31 January 2020.
