Ganni chooses Bleckmann as new logistics partner
Danish luxury brand Ganni has chosen Bleckmann as its logistics partner for all its operations in Europe, citing sustainability and responsibility as keys areas of the partnership.
The new long term agreement for warehousing, distribution and fulfilment will see Ganni products from across Europe shipped from Bleckmann's fulfilment centre in Venlo, the Netherlands.
The Venlo warehouse is close to the inland rail terminal and uses 100% clean energy. The centre is certified sustainable due its actions to stimulate biodiversity, investments to reduce carbon footprint, waste and green delivery options and solar panels on the roof.
Run by husband-and-wife duo Nicolaj Reffstrup and Ditte Reffstrup since 2009, Ganni has has 33 stores across Europe, and the United States, and is available via 400 wholesalers worldwide. The Copenhagen-based brand recently launched its rental platform Ganni Repeat across the UK and the US.
Ron Thijssen, Manager Corporate Social Responsibility at Bleckmann said: "We are impressed by the growth of Ganni and by their focus on sustainability. We are honoured Ganni chose us as its logistic partner. Our expertise in logistics and our experience with sustainable solutions will help them grow with a lower carbon footprint.
"A new service we want to offer in the future is the possibility of end consumers choosing a more sustainable carrier. Our IT team is already looking forward to realising this project."
