From workshops to repair centres: Longchamp awarded B Corp

Longchamp has been awarded B Corp certification, formalising the 78-year-old, family-owned House's commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Granted by non-profit B Lab, the certification evaluates more than 300 criteria across governance, production, distribution and human resources.

Led by Transformation and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Director Adrien Cassegrain, the brand’s CSR strategy integrates social and environmental considerations into corporate decision-making. B Corp now provides an independent framework to measure progress and support continuous improvement.

Cassegrain said: "B Corp certification gives us a clear and independent framework to transform our convictions into concrete and measurable actions. It is the visible manifestation of a commitment that has always been present at Longchamp.

"This recognition underlines our efforts and, at the same time, commits us to continuous progress in systematically factoring CSR considerations into our decisions and their long- term impact."

The strategy is structured around two pillars: Longchamp Family and Made by Longchamp. The former centres on people and societal impact. Today, 68% of managers are women, supported by initiatives including the Women program (spanning parental support, breast cancer prevention and anti-sexism measures) as well as Mission Handicap.

Made by Longchamp reflects the brand’s focus on craftsmanship and environmental performance. In 2025, 80,000 products were repaired across 33 global repair centres. Circularity efforts include the Re-Play line, launched in 2022 using deadstock materials, while 100% of leathers are certified by the Leather Working Group, 88% at Gold level.

For Creative Director Sophie Delafontaine, sustainability and style remain intertwined. She said: "Longchamp style combines movement and timelessness. Making products that last is central to our vision and our history.

"The fact that we are committed to sustainability inspires us to create beautiful, well-designed objects, without ever sacrificing innovation or our love of fashion - objects that appeal to free, contemporary women who are aware of the issues of our time."
