From London to Paris with Nicola Woods

Industry member Nicola Woods, creative director of Beautiful Soul, is proud to announce that her ready-to-wear spring/summer 2012 collection, Summer Breeze, will be showing at Paris’ Zip Zone from the 30th of September to the 5th of October. This follows a successful stint during London Fashion Week. Images of which can be viewed on VOGUE.COM.

Nicola is passionate about sustainability and her collections are a balance and reconciliation between fashion, style and sustainability. Dedicated to a conscious approach to fabric sourcing and environmental impact, Woods is also committed to local, UK-based production.

The new collection draws inspiration from the scenic English summertime and the vintage kimono fabrics from Beautiful Soul’s archive of Japanese kimonos. Beautiful Soul has designed the unique prints in-house this season, capturing the brightly coloured houses throughout Notting Hill and the exuberant energy of summertime. Nicola says it is, “Fresh, feminine and flattering - the collection captures a unique English charm.”

Timeless silhouettes are brought to life through the exclusive prints and detailing, including heritage-style trench coats and blazers, day-to-evening dresses, versatile separates and accessories. Key pieces from the collection include quirky and classic trenches, trimmed with carved and engraved vegetable ivory (a seed from a palm tree that is 100% sustainable) buttons.
After great feedback from London Fashion Week, Industry member Nicola Woods will be taking Beautiful Soul London off to Zip Zone, Paris to capture the heart of the French capital.
