French Connection marks return to retail in Wales as it continues outlet store roll-out
French Connection will be opening its latest store at the Bridgend Designer Outlet Centre in Wales on 13 September 2025, marking its return to the Welsh market with its only standalone store in the country.
It also marks a continuation of the brand's strategy to open more outlet stores, having opened a 2,200 sq ft store at Caledonia Park in Scotland in April this year.
They both join the two French Connection outlet stores in London, at The 02 Outlet and at London Designer Outlet at Wembley Park, as well as destination stores at Cheshire Oaks, Ashford in Kent, Braintree in Essex, Alfreton in the East Midlands, Cannock in the West Midlands, York, the Cotswolds, Banbridge in Northern Ireland and Livingston in Scotland.
The new 1,250 sq ft store in Wales will offer "a fresh and modern shopping environment" with French Connection’s new concept shop fit, complete with large internal branded signage, statement repeat pattern walls, and black suspended lighting to showcase the product in all its glory.
Customers will be able to shop the brand’s pinstripe co-ord sets, soft knits and textured cardigans "that embody French Connection’s commitment to quality and contemporary fashion".
To celebrate the opening, French Connection will be offering visitors complimentary bubbles while they shop, and a special gift with any purchase of £50 or more on Saturday 13 September, and also on Saturday 20 September.
