Freemans signs Interior Design Masters finalist Siobhan Murphy for exclusive range of homewares

Freemans, the digital department store, has announced the signing of Siobhan Murphy, finalist from the hit TV show, Interior Design Masters, to design an exclusive range of homeware.

Siobhan, who was a popular contestant on the show and works under the name ‘Interior Curve’, will initially create a bespoke soft home accessories collection this Autumn, with items being mainly sourced from the UK and then develop a full homewares collection for launch in SS22.

Freemans relaunched in October 2020 with a totally new look and offering. As well as a host of new products and brands, it recently launched an exclusive fashion and homewares collection and advertising campaign with renowned designer Julien Macdonald.

Richard Cristofoli, Chief Customer Officer, Freemans, said: “Not only are we proudly supporting emerging talent by commissioning Siobhan’s very first retail collaboration, we feel her confident use of colour and print coupled with a down-to-earth approach resonates with what we’re all about and what our customers tell us they are looking for.”

Siobhan Murphy added: “My dream has always been to design my own collection and I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with Freemans designing a homeware collection. I’m really looking forward to sharing the whole journey with you and cannot wait to launch this fabulous new range.”

Freemans has bolstered its senior management team over the last 18 months with ex-N Brown Group PLC Ann Steer taking over as CEO, Linda Quinn - also ex N Brown Group PLC - joining as Chief Merchandising Officer, Richard Cristofoli joining as Chief Customer Officer from Debenhams and Richard Hornby as Chief Finance Officer from Studio plc.

The business also recently announced the introduction of value brand Bonprix to its online portfolio, with the intention of underpinning its value credentials.
