Frasers Group announces retirement of Non-Executive Director
Frasers Group has announced the retirement of Non-Executive Director David Brayshaw after almost eight years of service for the group, effective from today, 12 August.
Brayshaw first joined Frasers Group as Non-Executive Director in December 2016, bringing experience from Barclays, where he previously served as Director Debt Finance Origination.
Commenting on Brayshaw’s retirement, David Daly, Chair of Frasers Group, said: "With over thirty years' of experience as a senior investment and commercial banker, David has made an invaluable contribution to the business. On behalf of the board, I would like to sincerely thank him for his efforts."
The Fraser Group board now comprises:
- Michael Murray, Chief Executive Officer.
- Chris Wootton, Chief Financial Officer.
- David Al-Mudallal, Chief Operating Officer.
- Ger Wright, Managing Director of Sports.
- David Daly, Non-Executive Chair of the Board.
- Nicola Frampton, Non-Executive Director.
- Richard Bottomley, Non-Executive Director.
- Helen Wright, Non-Executive Director.
- Sir Jon Thompson, Non-Executive Director.
- Cally Price, Non-Executive Workforce Director and Workers Representative.
The news comes after reports revealed that Frasers Group is restructuring its digital team, with a potential office relocation placing 45 roles at risk.
The owner of Sports Direct and Flannels is said to have launched a consultation period for 45 employees. Despite this review, not all staff will be made redundant.
It comes as Frasers Group looks to move its trading digital team to its Shirebrook HQ in Derbyshire, as the retail giant continues its Elevation Strategy and targets multi-year growth.
