Founder Adam Frisby steps away from In The Style
Adam Frisby is stepping away from In The Style, the online fashion brand he founded 11 years ago.
In a post on Instagram, Frisby shared it was with a "heavy heart" that he would "no longer be part of In The Style".
"This really hasn’t been an easy decision for me and since stepping down as CEO at the end of 2023 I’ve tried my hardest to continue to make things work, but despite my best efforts, it’s now a decision I’ve had to make," the post continues.
"As you know I absolutely loved ITS, over the last 11 years I’ve put my all into that business, I was so very proud of everything it stood for and the good reputation that it had. You guys know me well enough to know that any decision to give up my shares and entirely leave the business I love and founded in my bedroom back in 2013 would have been incredibly difficult."
However, he added that this wasn’t "the end" for him in business and that "when the time is right I look forward to taking you all every step of the way with me on the next journey".
After being made redundant in 2013, Frisby used the £1,000 redundancy payment to start In The Style from his bedroom. It is now one of the country's biggest online fashion brands.
The news comes after Frisby stepped down as CEO of the company in December last year, saying that he still would remain part of the business and continue to be involved in key decisions.
Frisby also previously handed over the CEO role to Sam Perkin in January of 2022 but later reclaimed the role in December 2022 to re-engineer In the Style's economic model.
