Former Loewe president and CEO Lisa Montague has been named as CEO of luxury accessories brand Aspinal of London and will take up her new position in September.

Montague succeeds Sarah Rotheram, who held the position for three years. Prior to joining Spanish LVMH-owned luxury group Loewe, Montague was chief operating officer of Mulberry and will be joined at Aspinal by former Mulberry Europe managing director Nick Roberts who has become a non-executive director.

Iain Burton, chairman and founder of Aspinal, said Montague's "leadership and vision" were "exceptional".

The brand, which Burton founded in 2001, is expanding and this summer plans to open a new flagship in London's St James's district and a further store in Edinburgh.

While at Mulberry, Montague worked with designer Stuart Vevers who followed her to Loewe. He subsequently moved to US giant Coach and was replaced by Jonathan Anderson.
