Former ASOS ESG boss to lead brand sales and marketing at NEXT
Jodie Leek, the former Head of ESG at ASOS, has been appointed to lead brand sales and marketing at retailer NEXT.
Leek brings over 25 years of experience in global sourcing, supply chain management, and environmental, social and governance (ESG), to her new role.
In her last role at ASOS, she also oversaw brand engagement and was responsible for developing and delivering a programme spanning human rights due diligence, environmental performance, chemical compliance and animal welfare.
Prior to her time at ASOS, where she spent seven years, she spent just over seven months at UK Denim Clothes Manufacturer Moseley Road. She was also previously Buying Manager for Menswear, Womenswear & Kids at Tesco.
Next had previously announced it had increased the estimated cost from the impact of the Middle East conflict to £47 million from the £15 million guidance given in March, as it now expects disruption for the remainder of its financial year to next January.
It said it would look to hike prices in international countries from the month of May, but said efforts to make cost savings would mean it does not need to push through extra price increases in the UK and Europe.
