Footasylum returns to Glasgow’s Silverburn with ‘state-of-the-art’ store
Footwear and sportswear retailer Footasylum has opened a new 10,305 sq ft store at Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow, marking its return to one of Scotland’s retail and leisure destinations with an elevated store concept.
The new store adds to Footasylum’s three others in Glasgow, located at 116-120 Argyle Street, Braehead shopping centre and Glasgow Fort shopping park.
Re-entering Silverburn aligns with Footasylum’s wider UK store roll-out strategy, which prioritises high-performing and high-footfall locations. Other recent openings include Darlington’s Cornmill Centre, Bromborough’s Croft Retail and Leisure Park, and Forster Square in Bradford.
The Silverburn store will offer a curated selection of new and exclusive product ranges tailored specifically to its Glasgow customer base. It will also stock a variety of renowned third-party brands alongside Footasylum-exclusive labels, including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.
Shannon Osman, Head of Retail at Footasylum said: “Glasgow has always delivered for us, and returning to Silverburn was a clear priority. This new store brings us back stronger in a location that reflects the ambition of the brand.
“As we expand across the UK and internationally, investing in high performing destinations like Silverburn remains central to our growth. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to our new state of the art store.”
Footasylum has also been stepping up its international growth plans. In November 2025, the company signed a distribution agreement with MAD agency across the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
That was followed in December 2025 by a new strategic partnership with Apparel Group to establish Footasylum stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
Last month, Footasylum reported that CEO David Pujolar had stepped down from the business, with Stephan Rahmede, Senior Representative of Aurelius WaterRise, assuming CEO responsibilities on an interim basis while the company searches for a permanent successor.
Rahmede will oversee what the company describes as its “next transformation and internationalisation phase”.
