Streetwear and sportswear retailer Footasylum has unveiled a new store in Milton Keynes' shopping destination centre:mk.

The 4,992 sq ft store is set across the ground floor of the centre at 66 Midsummer Arcade, and is adjacent to Swarovski.

Head of retail at Footasylum Glen Dickinson said it had selected centre:mk for its large catchment area and central location. "centre:mk benefits from an impressive footfall, as well as increased investment and regeneration in the centre which only adds to the experience further," he said.

A joint venture between Hermes Investment Management and AustralianSuper the centre is undergoing a transformation and recently announced a £60m investment programme for the next three years.

Footasylum's arrival comes on the back of a string of new openings that have included Kiehl's, Molton Brown, The White Company and Pandora who have all opened stores on Sunset Walk.

"This latest addition will enhance the strong retail and fashion offer ensuring we continue to cater for the wide and varied demographic of visitors, especially in this 50th anniversary year for Milton Keynes as a destination," said Ed Sellick, on behalf of Hermes Investment Management and AustralianSuper.
