Flabelus fuels UK expansion with Bleckmann as exclusive fulfilment partner
Spanish premium fashion brand Flabelus is accelerating expansion in the UK, partnering with supply chain management specialists Bleckmann as its exclusive fulfilment partner for the market.
The brand, which manufactures most of its products at its factory in Elche, Spain, selected Bleckmann to help reduce lead times to its UK customer base, which includes monobrand stores, retail partners and e-commerce.
All UK omnichannel fulfilment for Flabelus will be handled from one of Bleckmann’s distribution centres in Burton-on-Trent, within the UK’s so-called "logistics golden triangle".
The location is intended to support fulfilment for both e-commerce and retail customers.
Bleckmann’s transportation network, which includes a dedicated pool of ‘Local Hero’ last-mile partners, will provide nationwide coverage.
Integration with Flabelus' e-commerce and inventory management systems will also provide both teams with real-time visibility across the fulfilment chain, allowing the brand to monitor the entire delivery cycle, from outbound shipments to returns and exchanges.
It comes as cross-border logistics have grown more complex as Flabelus’ global presence has expanded. Shipping from Spain to the UK involves post-Brexit administrative requirements; while EU-origin products benefit from zero tariffs, importers must provide valid proof of origin.
Bleckmann’s customs teams, operating on both sides of the Channel and using an integrated customs framework, are said to support "compliant and efficient declaration filings".
María Fernándes-Álva de Zunzunegui, Global Operations Director at Flabelus, said: "Prioritising the customer at every stage has been central to our growth, and we hold our partners to the same exacting standard. Bleckmann has demonstrated the ideal balance of logistical expertise and commitment to service excellence."
Founded in 2020, Flabelus has built a following based on quality, craftsmanship, and authentic design. Its growth over five years has led to 31 owned stores across Spain, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, London, Lisbon and Mexico City. Its signature espadrilles are now sold in 700 stores worldwide.
