FitFlop launches small-scale version of its hi-tech flip flops for kids
FitFlop has brought its footwear technology to the kids market for the first time with a new range of flip flops specifically biomechanically engineered for growing feet.
The range for kids and toddlers launches on 13 April and features iQushion™ technology to deliver comfort and support, allowing feet to move freely and develop naturally.
Dr Kim Lilley, FitFlop’s inhouse biomechanist, explained: “Kids’ feet need footwear that won’t interfere with their natural development. So, these lightweight unisex sandals feature our iQushion™ kids sole. They have a wider, lower, stable base, with slight natural contouring, allowing freedom to move and space to grow. They are also waterproof and slip resistant, making them perfect for pool side.”
The range includes iQushion™kids junior flip flops, kids junior ergonomic back-strap sandals, kids toddler back-strap flip flops and kids toddler back-strap sandals.
Soles are made from soft, flexible, high-rebound air-foam, that bends with developing feet and lets them ‘feel’ the ground helping balance and coordination. On top soft flexible rubber straps have been fit-tested to ensure smaller feet are held correctly.
They will be available to shop online at fitflop.com, next.co.uk and amazon.co.uk, and in selected stores globally. Prices range from £22 to £30.
