First nominees for The Fashion Awards 2023 are revealed
The first set of nominees for this year's The Fashion Awards have been revealed today by the British Fashion Council.
Shortlisted talent across five categories – Model of the Year, British Menswear Designer, British Womenswear Designer, New Establishment Menswear and the New Establishment Womenswear – has been named. Winners will be revealed on the night of The Fashion Awards, which takes place on 4 December at the Royal Albert Hall.

Model of the Year
Recognises the global impact of a model who, over the last 12 months, has dominated the industry, with an influence that transcends the catwalk.

Nominees for the Designer of the Year category and the BFC Foundation Award will be announced in November.
The 2023 accolades also include the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Outstanding Achievement Award, Leader of Change as well as several Special Recognition Awards for exceptional contribution to the fashion industry. Additionally, the event will recognise 50 of the most innovative and inspiring young creative talent from around the world as part of NEW WAVE: Creatives.
The Fashion Awards are the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and celebrate the role of fashion at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and "telling the stories of the year in fashion through the lens of purpose, excellence, and creativity". British talent in particular is celebrated for its impact on the global fashion market.
The ceremony is one of the most starry in the global fashion scene with big names from entertainment and fashion coming together. Big names seen on the red carpet last year include David and Victoria Beckham, Tom Cruise, Cate Blanchett, Kylie Minogue, Julia Roberts, Kendall Jenner and Naomi Campbell along with big names designers such as Giorgio Armani and Valentino's Pierpaolo Piccioli.
