Finery and Isamaya Ffrench collaborate on accessories line

Finery has today unveiled a capsule collection of five accessories created in collaboration with ground-breaking make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench.

Inspired by 90s urban culture, the collection plays with proportions, placing oversized zips and buckles on sleek silhouettes, and clashing fabrics (neoprenes are contrasted with luxe leather).

The collection features a sleek sock boot, a fur trimmed mule loafer, a refined bucket hat, a leather bum bag and a sculptured earring set.

Ffrench said she was a "naturally active person" so was inspired to create something that enabled the wearer to move. "I’m super active so I love wearing heels that feel robust enough that I could potentially do hurdles in them, the sort of hurdles that require running around on shoots!" Ffrench said.

"For me, sport equals strength and a sense of gracefulness so I wanted to create something that balanced both of those worlds, I think the collection balances sleekness with an edge of sports pun," she added.

Caren Downie, brand director and one of the founders of Finery, said the brand chose to partner with French because of her "courageous creativity". "She is one of the most exciting young talents in the industry of the moment. We think she has brought the perfect amount of fearlessness to the collection whilst also complimenting Finery’s polished aesthetic," Downie said.

The collection marks the second collaboration for Finery. In March of this year the brand teamed up with six inspiring women, from the fields of acting, journalism, broadcasting and PR, to create a range of "Forever Pieces" including a jumpsuit, trouser, tunic and sweater.

Prices for the Isamaya Ffrench collection range from £19 to £149 and it is now available on the Finery website.
