FatFace continues Irish expansion with new store in Galway
FatFace is continuing its expansion into the Republic of Ireland with the opening of a new store in Galway, taking its total store count in the region to seven.
The new 1,500 sq ft store, which will feature the brand's latest collection as well as items from its core range, opens this month at 3 Mainguard Street. It marks the brand's first foothold in the west of Ireland.
FatFace already operates stores in Cork, Westport and Wexford, having steadily expanded across the region in recent years. FatFace now operates 175 stores in the UK alongside its seven Irish locations.
In 2023, NEXT acquired FatFace, adding it to its portfolio of high-street names, which now also includes Joules, Cath Kidston and Seraphine.
Karen Johnston, Stores Director at FatFace, said: "We are delighted to open our new store in Galway and continue growing our presence across Ireland.
"This new location allows us to bring our unique product offering to even more customers while maintaining our strong connection with local communities. We look forward to welcoming shoppers through our doors and becoming part of the Galway retail landscape."
FatFace's expansion comes amid a number of retailers expanding into the market. Matalan announced in May that it was expanding into the market, while Topshop announced in June that it had launched its online store in the Republic of Ireland due to growing demand.
