FatFace enters German market with Zalando in major step towards global growth
British fashion and lifestyle brand FatFace has launched on Zalando, marking its first step into the German market as it continues to accelerate its international expansion.
The move allows German customers to shop FatFace’s womenswear and menswear collections, as well as its premium womenswear line Copper & Black. Accessories and footwear are set to follow in the coming months, as the brand expands its partnership with the Berlin-based platform.
The launch comes after a strong start to the year for FatFace, which has seen full-price sales rise 6.6% and sales through the NEXT Label surge 86% year-on-year in the first half of 2025. Digital now represents 36% of revenue, supported by over 40 million annual visits to the brand’s website.
Alexandra Dalwood, Head of Partners at FatFace, said: "Joining the NEXT family has given us the platform to drive growth and expand into new international markets. Our launch on Zalando marks an important step in building our global brand awareness, and we’re really pleased to be able to bring FatFace to a new audience on this platform in Germany."
The expansion builds on the brand’s shift towards a multichannel strategy following its acquisition by NEXT in 2023. Since then, FatFace has grown its digital presence while continuing to invest in physical retail, with new UK and Ireland stores in Westport and the Isle of Man, as well as its first NEXT concession at Lakeside Shopping Centre.
Looking ahead, the brand is eyeing wider European growth through the platform.
