FatFace CEO Liz Evans is stepping down from the fashion retail chain and is being replaced by its former CFO Will Crumbie.

Crumbie, who takes on the role with immediate effect, will work with Evans during a handover period until the end of the year when Evans will move on to a new opportunity.

Crumbie has been with the business for eight years. Before FatFace he held senior financial and executive positions within the Walgreen Boots Alliance Group and P&O. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.

He said of his appointment: “It is an honour to be appointed as CEO of this fantastic brand with a rich heritage and I would like to extend my huge thanks to Liz for her leadership and guidance over the last few years.”

“Whilst the external landscape remains challenging, I am excited about the opportunities for FatFace – we have a great product range and first-class multichannel offering that has performed strongly following the major reopening of the UK & US economies in April, with all channels performing ahead of expectations”.

FatFace chairman Colin Porter added: “We are delighted to appoint Will as CEO. He brings a strong commercial background and deep knowledge of the business and I look forward to continuing to work with him.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Liz for her significant contribution whilst leading the business through these unprecedented times. She leaves the business in a stronger position than when she arrived, and we wish her the best for her future endeavours.”

Evans joined FatFace as CEO in March 2019 having previously been CEO at the former Oasis and Warehouse group.
