Fat Face has announced that Oasis and Warehouse CEO Liz Evans will join the company in January to replace its outgoing chief Anthony Thompson. Evans will be replaced at the women’s fashion chains by current COO Hash Ladha.
Thompson’s departure from Fat Face, after nine years at the helm, was revealed last month. He will remain in post until the new year when Evans, who has been CEO at Oasis and Warehouse for five years (prior to that the was managing director at Oasis), will take over.
“It has been an absolute privilege to lead the group for five years and it goes without saying how much I will miss doing so. Oasis and Warehouse are brands with a strong product proposition, clear brand DNA and winning teams. I am confident they will continue to be successful and I’m delighted to have played a part in the journey,” she said of her departure.
Ladha, who has been with the group since 2010 and has been COO since 2015, has been named CEO designate and will assume the role full time upon Evans’ departure. Prior to joining the group he held senior roles with ASOS, New Look and Arcadia.
Director Johann Petur Reyndal thanked Evans for her “outstanding contribution” to Oasis and Warehouse and said that Ladha had been “an instrumental member of the executive team and group board, contributing hugely to the success of Oasis and Warehouse”.
Of her new role at Fat Face Evans sad: “I am delighted to be joining Fat Face which is a brand that I hugely admire. I am looking forward to working with Stuart [chairman Lord Rose], the board and all the crew at Fat Face to build on the success that has already been achieved under Anthony’s leadership.”
