'Fashion Deconstructed' returns to Source Fashion with expanded programme

Fashion Deconstructed, Source Fashion's interactive programme of live demonstrations, workshops and educational sessions, will return for the UK sourcing trade show's July 2026 edition with an expanded line-up. 

The feature first launched at Source Fashion's January 2026 show at Olympia London, where the organiser reported visitor numbers up 16% and exhibitor numbers up 12%.

For July, the programme has been expanded to cover repair, garment construction, textile development and manufacturing, with sessions aimed at buyers, brands and sourcing professionals.

Four confirmed highlights cover different parts of the supply chain:

• Back to the Loom, led by textile artist Ruby Webster, covers spinning and handweaving through live demonstrations, focusing on material construction and the decision-making embedded in fibre and fabric production.
• The Craft Behind Ethical Fashion Making, run by ethical fashion designer and PETA Designer of the Year 2022 Sarah Regensburger, guides attendees through sewing and garment construction techniques while examining how sustainability can be built into the design process from the outset.
• Fabric Manipulation and Textile Embellishment Workshop, led by fashion educator and textile specialist John Herrera from the Fashion Technology Academy, offers hands-on experience in techniques used to transform fabrics into textured, visually distinct surfaces.
• Fashion Enter Repair Centre live demonstrations cover garment repair, product longevity, circular business models and resale.

Source Fashion's wider content agenda for July explores circularity, responsible production, material innovation, supply chain resilience and regulatory change.

The organiser positions Fashion Deconstructed as a practical complement to its Catwalk and Debate stages, which address strategic industry challenges. Where those stages focus on policy and market trends, Fashion Deconstructed gives visitors direct contact with the processes and materials behind the supply chains they work with.

Ellingham said the feature "transforms industry conversations into practical experiences" and is designed to reconnect sourcing professionals with knowledge of materials, processes and long-term product value.

The July edition marks Source Fashion’s move from Olympia London, where the January show was held, to Excel London. The event will bring together audited manufacturers, sourcing professionals, brands and industry experts from across the global fashion supply chain, with Fashion Deconstructed running alongside the full content programme across all three days.
