Farfetch partners with Nugnes 1920 on menswear edit

Farfetch has teamed up with boutique partner Nugnes 1920 to curate a unique edit of modern tailoring pieces for men.

Farfetch Menswear buying manager Reece Crisp worked closely with Nugnes 1920 CEO Beppe Nugnes, to build the edit of essential items "redefining the traditional wardrobe staples for the contemporary Farfetch male customer", which is now live on the luxury etailer's site.

The edit includes exclusive pieces from Ami and Larding as well as key pieces from E Tautz, Incotex, Harris Wharf London, Pence and PT01. Stand-out outerwear styles will feature from the likes of Hevo, Sealup and Cini, as well as items from Italian brands Brunello Cucinello, Boglioli and Barena. The edit will also include knitwear from Nuur and Roberto Collina and accessories from PB 0110.

Nugnes said he wanted the edit to reflect the new flexibility and relaxed feel to men's tailoring. "This edit allows the modern man to actively integrate classic items and taste with modern cuts and stand-out pieces. Farfetch is the perfect partner; being such a dynamic company that constantly succeeds in presenting a unique online selection of luxury pieces from their boutique and brand partners worldwide," he said.

Crisp added that that partners had explored the changing role of the suit in recent years. "For AW16, we have explored the styling of the suit and the ways in which tailoring can be edited to enable the modern man; to mix and match and create a unique style," he said.

Nugnes 1920 is an Italian multibrand luxury retailer for men and women with three stores in Trani, Puglia, as well as an e-store, selling brands such as Gucci, Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. The Nugnes family established itself in the fashion industry in 1920, hence its brand name.

The Farfetch platform hosts 400 boutiques globally, as well as 100 brands, to offer a range of more than 1,000 designers in one location. It was founded in 2008 by entrepreneur José Neves.
