Farfetch has teamed up with the Dubai Design & Fashion Council (DDFC) and Vogue Arabia to promote emerging design talent from the Middle East.

UAE based ready-to-wear brand Reemami and Egypt-based accessories brand Okhtein have launched exclusively on the luxury fashion platform today and at select retail partners including Farfetch-owned Browns, Curve (USA) and Al’Ostoura (Kuwait).

The designers are both winners of the 2016 DDFC/ Vogue Arabia Fashion Prize and as part of their prize they receive exclusive retail pick up and support from Farfetch, along with a financial grant, advertising support, and mentorship.

Reenami, created by Palestinian born designer Reema Al Banna, produced a capsule collection for Farfetch that includes prints inspired by the designer's love for climbing. The collection blends playful hand illustrations of mountains, stars and climbers, along with intricate detailing of detachable layers, strings, eyelets and knots.

Okhtein is the brainchild of Egyptian sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf and they have a produced a capsule called Nomadic Citizen, which includes bags with embossed metalwork and tassel details.

"At Farfetch we are committed to offering our customers the greatest selection of luxury from the very best designers and brands. We are delighted to count Reemami and Okhtein as the latest additions to the Farfetch network; giving them a global platform and providing our customers with exclusive access to their SS17 collections. We were impressed by the design talent shown at The Fashion Prize, especially these winning collections," said Farfetch CMO Stephanie Horton.
