FARFETCH and Nataal collaborate with Valentino to celebrate Black creativity in fashion

FARFETCH, the global destination for modern luxury fashion, and global multimedia brand Nataal have launched the second iteration of their year-long partnership with Italian powerhouse Valentino.

Working with their community of change makers, the partnership celebrates a new generation of Black visual artists in Paris featuring Alizée Quitman (multi-disciplinary artist), Alexia Fiasco (photographer), Maty Biayenda (painter and textiles student), Fabien Conti (painter), Josué Comoe (painter) and Elladj Lincy Deloumeaux (painter).

Their stories come to life in this two-part editorial curated by Nataal. Photographed by Kyle Weeks and styled by Laëtitia Gimenez Adam, the artists wear runway looks from Valentino’s Act collection against a brutalist cityscape within which their key art pieces are immersed.

The work of these agenda-setting talents speaks to the diverse themes of identity, the environment and spirituality.

“We chose these young artists because together they represent ‘La Nouvelle Vague’; the new wave transforming the art world. Their diverse practices address their heritage as well as urgent social themes and we hope this story with Valentino brings their work to the world,” said Nataal Creative Director, Marie Gomis-Trezise.

Following the first iteration of the project in February, the launch is one of two in collaboration with Maison Valentino, with the third and final iteration of the collaboration series between FARFETCH and Nataal to launch later this year.
