Farah collaborates with SoccerBible on capsule ‘Unity’ collection for Euro 2020

Farah has collaborated with football magazine SoccerBible, which has 5.5 million followers on Instagram, to create a 13-piece capsule collection called ‘Unity’ in celebration of the “universal language of football – bringing people together.”

With a focus on where football meets fashion and music, the collection has been modelled by music artists Everyone You Know, iLL BLU, TSB and ZieZie.

It features pieces inspired by countries participating in the UEFA EURO 2020 football competition, taking place from 11 June to 11 July 2021, having been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak last year.

Referencing England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Wales and Ireland (who didn’t qualify for the competition), the collection pops with expressive colour inspired by the various nations, with design cues nodding to pub carpets, tartan, Breton stripes and military camo.

Farah Brand Director, Mark McCann, said: “Farah's collaboration with SoccerBible has seamlessly connected two brands with values rooted in both heart and heritage. Celebrating the expressive colour and community of football gave us the opportunity to revisit and rework pieces from the Farah archives. 'The Unity Collection' champions global togetherness and after the challenges of the last year, the spirit to unite carries such significance, for us all.”

Pete Martin, Editor at Large at SoccerBible, added: “Working with Farah has meant we've been able to explore a fresh angle in which football crosses with fashion. A brand so deep routed in a culture of its own, the archive is so beautifully rich that the opportunity was always going to be one of great adventure.

“Exploring this archive while embracing a contemporary level of nowness, I believe we've collaborated in a way that has brought something new to the game. The idea of unity is so pure and so well placed considering the last year and it's a dream to have something new to wear symbolic of unity.”

The collection consists of shirts, polos, tracksuit tops and ‘Unity’ T-shirts, with prices ranging between £40-£80, available now on the Farah website.
