ESW enters strategic partnership with Shopify to expand global e-commerce capabilities

E-commerce solutions specialist ESW has entered a strategic agreement with global commerce platform Shopify to support enterprise brands and retailers in expanding, localising, and optimising their e-commerce operations. 

As part of the collaboration, enterprise brands using Shopify can now leverage ESW’s expertise in managing international compliance, risk, and revenue localisation at scale across more than 200 international markets.

The platform promises tailored solutions covering fulfillment, returns, and 24/7 local-language customer support, with the goal of improving conversion rates, protecting profit margins, and enhancing customer loyalty, while maintaining brand integrity.

It comes as enterprise e-commerce continues to evolve, driven by rising customer expectations. Today’s shoppers demand seamless, localised experiences. However, as ESW and Shopify note, expanding internationally has often meant making tough trade-offs, such as sacrificing control, flexibility, or visibility.

This tension between maintaining operational control and scaling globally has long hindered the international growth of many brands - a challenge that both companies aim to address.
