This Autumn will be an exciting one for fashion fans everywhere. First off, there is the Uniqlo x Lemaire collaboration hitting the stores in October, as previously announced on The Industry, and now Erdem is collaborating with Eco-Age creative director, Livia Firth, for another round of Green Carpet Challenge. Eco-fashion activist, Firth has previously enrolled a host of famous designer to join the ranks of her sustainability cause, including fellow activist Stella McCartney but also Victoria Beckham, Christopher Bailey, Gucci, Christopher Kane and Roland Mouret.

This year, Canadian-British designer Erdem Moralioglu is taking on the challenge, the announcement was made yesterday morning at the start of Berlin Fashion Week. Erdem's Green Carpet Collection will be made up of 12 pieces of clothing all created following the strict rules of the GCC, only sourcing "reused, surplus or sustainably certified materials."

"I am so excited about yet another world first for Eco-Age: to unveil a new Green Carpet Collection at this year's London Fashion Week," Firth said to Vogue. "To be awarded the GCC brandmark is alone something we are so proud of, but the fact that this year it will be created by the wonderful Erdem is hugely exciting. I have always loved his designs and his use of texture and colour. The Erdem woman has values that marry so beautifully with the Green Carpet Collections - it's a perfect marriage of ethics and aesthetics," she added.
