END launches ‘North Sea’ collection in latest 20th anniversary celebrations

END has launched the ‘North Sea’ collection – in partnership with And Wander and Crocs – in the latest instalment of its 20th anniversary celebrations, which pay homage to the retailer’s North East roots.

Following on from last month’s ‘Chip Shop’ capsule collection, and the ‘Tie the Knot’ collection and campaign with Adidas Originals, which launched in March, the latest coastal-inspired line explores And Wander’s outdoor clothing expertise and Crocs’ distinctive footwear.

The 10-piece apparel and accessory collection with And Wander sees END and the Japanese outdoor specialist brand, which was founded in 2011 by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori - both of whom previously worked at Issey Miyake - “ensure you’re kitted out for a trip to the beach, whatever the weather”.

Renowned for its lightweight 3-layer nylon, the And Wander collection has been conceived in a monochromatic tone with subtle watery prints articulated across the apparel.

It features the ‘Nylon Print Jacket’, ‘3L Print Hat’ and ‘3L Print Poncho’, all offering wind and rain protection. There’s also the ‘Nylon Print Short Pant’ and ‘Print Pocket Tee’.

Ready for the surf, accompanying accessories include a cooler box, a key float and a towel featuring co-branded logos and signature webbing.

Meanwhile, Crocs and END are debuting a new silhouette called ‘Trailbreak’, which has been inspired by the unpredictable weather conditions in the UK. It’s a progressive take on a silhouette sourced from the footwear brand’s new EXP line and is constructed from an elevated neoprene upper with a chunky sole unit. The shoe "seamlessly blends trail aesthetics with water sports functionality".

The limited-edition END x and Wander ‘North Sea’ collection is now available on the END website with prices ranging from £25 to £475, while the exclusive END x Crocs x and Wander ‘Trailbreak’ releases on 9 May, priced at £120.
