Emporio Armani to show at London Fashion Week
Emporio Armani will show at London Fashion Week this September to co-incide with the unveiling of its revamped Bond Street flagship.
The show will take place on 17 September and Giorgio Armani told WWD that "dynamic, energetic and cosmopolitan" London was "the perfect setting for my Emporio Armani collection”. “After my ‘One Night Only’ event in 2006, I’m thrilled to be returning to London to unveil the new concept at the Bond Street store, bearing witness to the brand’s strong bond with the British people,” the designer told the publication.
In a similar move the brand showed in Paris for SS17 to co-incide with a revamp of its store and café in Boulevard Saint-Germain-des-Prés. In 2006 the One Night Only event in London was staged to mark the launch of the Product Red line, which donated part of its profit to support the Global Fund to Fight AIDS in Africa.
Outside of one-off appearances at other international fashion weeks, the Emporio Armani label is shown at Milan Fashion Week.
