British tennis star and US Open champion Emma Raducanu has been named as an ambassador for the house of Dior.

Raducanu made her red carpet debut at the Met Gala in New York, after her historic US Open win, wearing Chanel prompting rumours of a tie-up with the historic French house. However she later attended the James Bond No Time to Die premiere in London wearing Dior (pictured) and today has announced she has struck a deal with the LVMH-owned house.

Shortly after securing her first " Grand Slam" title, Raducanu revealed that she had been signed by Tiffany & Co, now also part of the LVMH group, as a brand ambassador. She had worn the brand's jewellery throughout the US Open tournament.

The 18-year-old, who was knocked out of her next tournament at Indian Wells in the first round, is represented by agents at IMG. She is seen as one of the sport's most bankable players given her surprise win in New York and the fact her parents are from Romania and China, widening her global appeal.

Speaking to British Vogue, she said that Dior creative chief Maria Grazia Chiuri's feminism and designs, were instrumental in her decision to take on the ambassador's role.

Maria Grazia’s work empowers women to feel confident in the iconic Dior cut, which I feel is very unique,” Raducanu said. “The sincerity of her approach and the way she turns shows into collective and meaningful events unquestionably influenced me in my choice.”
