Ellesse to launch collection with Netflix's 'Cobra Kai'

Heritage sportswear brand Ellese is teaming up with Netflix’s ‘Cobra Kai’ for a collection of co-branded apparel that celebrates elements of the hit show, which has just launched its fourth season.

Launching on Thursday 3 February, the Ellesse collection takes inspiration from the show’s rival dojo houses featuring team hoodies, sweatshirts, long and short sleeve t-shirts, tracksuit tops and bottoms with contrasting Cobra Kai or Miyagi-Do colour schemes and branding.

Since airing on Youtube in 2018 ‘Cobra Kai’ has picked up a cult following of devoted fans, spurring nostalgia in the 80’s classic Karate Kid films.

Drawing on the eighties nostalgia, a track top with detachable arms is introduced, inspired by classic ellesse blocks and the winning look of tennis player Boris Becker at Wimbledon.

Team Cobra Kai stands out with pop colour detailing in a black, yellow and red aesthetic. An embroidered snake mascot’s features throughout with printed Cobra co-branding. Contrasting karate house, Miyagi-do is met with a white, green and orange colour scheme and the club’s tree logo.

The Limona track top is inspired by the ellesse top worn by Borris Becker when he won Wimbledon in 1885.

The Cobra Kai x Ellesse collection will available via Netflix's online store, DTLR and Zalando.
