Lucy Yeomans has stood down from her role as Editor in Chief and global content director at Net-A-Porter and its magazine Porter but the luxury etailer has said it is committed to the publication.

As a result of Yeomans' departure, Sarah Bailey will act as Editor in Chief of Porter as well as continue with her role overseeing digital content. It has not yet been confirmed what Yeomans, who joined the business from Harpers Bazaar in 2012, will be doing next.

Yeomans was the founding Editor in Chief of Porter, which launched in 2014, and will bow out as the magazine publishes its fifth anniversary edition. She announced her departure in an Instagram post thanking all of those who have worked with her.

Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter president Alison Loehnis said Yeomans had been the "driving force" behind its pioneering content. "[She] has built Porter into an award-winning, world-renowned proposition. I have loved working with her and would like to express my sincere thanks to Lucy for her passion, creativity and commitment and wish her every success in her next venture.”

Yeomans added: "I am particularly proud of having created Porter, a game-changing new global editorial brand that has empowered and celebrated Incredible Women from its launch. I would like to thank my phenomenal team for their energy, talent and constant ambition for the brand, and, of course, all of the YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP leadership for their support. As Porter hits its 5-year anniversary milestone, it feels like the perfect time to take on an exciting new challenge.
