ECCO reveals new concept store at St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff

Danish shoe retailer, ECCO, has upgraded to a new location within St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff with a brand new shop fit, the first of its kind in the UK.

Relocating to the Upper Grand Arcade, near the John Lewis anchor store and other more premium retailers, the new shop has been fitted out with a modern industrial feel to showcase the full men’s and women’s footwear collections.

ECCO’s head of retail operations, Jack Cleary, commented: “Our new space at St David’s enables us to showcase our products in their best light. This prime location attracts the high-volume footfall we desire when selecting our store locations, and this was important when deciding to expand our presence at St. David’s. We are very excited to once again open our doors to bustling and lively Cardiff with this new and reimagined design, which hopes to keep up with a marketplace which is constantly growing and adapting.”

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and Intu, Colin Flinn, Intu’s west regional managing director, added: “Footwear brands are an important part of our fashion line-up and the positive trading figures across the festive period reflect our dedication to leasing relevant, leading brands that are popular with our visitors.”
