British footwear label Duke & Dexter, which specialises in high quality men's loafers, has opened its first flagship store in London's Covent Garden.

The 500sqm store is based on Earlham Street in the Seven Dials area and showcases the brand's British designed and made footwear collection, including some in-store exclusives, as well as a Bespoke Bar where customers can create their own personalised pair of shoes.

The Bespoke Bar will will also showcase the brand’s upcoming collaboration with shoe artist Daniel Cordas, who hand paints directly onto shoes.

Designed in partnership with Dreambox, the minimalist store, also features a lounge and coffee bar serving complimentary Buckshot Coffee Company coffee, which hails from Sheffield, the city where Duke & Dexter shoes are made.

The brand was founded in 2014 by Archie Hewlett who at the time was just 19 years old. As well as being sold on its own website, which also has a bespoke service, it has secured stockists among some prestigious multi-brand retailers, including Fenwick and Liberty in London, and has gained an influential celebrity following.

Fans of the brand include Tyson Backford, Tinie Tempah, Jonah Hill, Ryan Reynolds and Eddie Redmayne who wore a pair of Duke & Dexter loafers to collect his Oscar.
