Dropit, the in-store service that allows customers to shop and drop their purchases for home delivery, is rolling out to retailers in Covent Garden after signing a deal with the area's landowner Capco.

Retailers such as Paul Smith, N Peal, Tom Davies, Claudie Pierlot, Cheaney Shoes, Bailey Nelson, Karen Millen and Lululemon are among the first brands to sign up ahead of the Christmas shopping rush.

As well as the Covent Garden retailers, Dropit also works with 60 retailers across London's West End. The service enables shoppers to drop multiple bags in multiple shops and combine them into one affordable delivery. It describes itself as a "first-mile" logistics solution that integrates with the existing local courier network. It was launched following a trial on Regent Street in 2015.

Kelly Scott, Head of Partnerships at Dropit, said of the expansion into Covent Garden:‘”We are delighted to be in partnership with Capco to really put us on the map in another prominent shopping hub in London. Working with a property owner like Capco cements our value proposition as a must-have service that’s quick and easy for retailers to implement and more importantly delivers results. Partnerships of this kind are the cornerstone of our growth strategy as we look to deliver value for all stakeholders in our industry.”

Separately Dropit has also added Mayfair department store Fenwick to its network in the West End, which also includes Chloé, Amanda Wakeley, Jimmy Choo and Victoria Beckham.
