Dropit adds 16 new West End retailers to its network

Dropit has signed up a further 16 West End retailers to its app-driven shop and drop service, including luxury brands such as Chloé, Amanda Wakeley, Jimmy Choo and Victoria Beckham.

The Dropit app allows shoppers to make purchases in multiple stores in London's West End and leave them at the store for Dropit to collect and deliver to their home either on the same day or the next day.

Users can download the app and receive a "day pass" for their shopping trip. Once they are ready to make a purchase they can scan the Dropit QR code in-store, then take photos of their receipts before placing items in a sealable Dropit bag and scanning the barcode on the bag.

The day pass covers unlimited items in multiple stores and purchases are grouped into one delivery. Same day delivery is available within the M25 and next day anywhere in the UK with the option to choose a convenient delivery slot.

Dropit also offers retailers insights in shopper behaviour, which is a draw, as well as the ability to compete with etailers on service and convenience. “We chose Dropit and the technology it offers to enhance the experience our customer gets when they shop with us. Our customers want a seamless, personal experience that gives them no stress," said Jimmy Choo's Judi Graham.

"Dropit makes it possible for us to compete with high-end ecommerce fashion brands and gives our clients 100% security when they use the service. They also love the same day delivery option and we love absorbing information from Dropit on who our clients are and where else they might be shopping,” she added.

Around 60 brands in the West End use the app including other recent sign-ups Abercrombie & Fitch, Aspinal of London, HBass and Co, Johnston of Elgin, La Martina, Pretty Green, Superga, Sweaty Betty, 7 for all Mankind and Tory Burch.

Dropit was founded in 2015 as a pilot on Regent Street by Karin Cabili. Advisers to the business include Lord Andrew Stone of Blackheath (former managing director of Marks & Spencer) and Lord David Alliance, CBE (non-executive director of N Brown Group). It is a member of the Regent Street Association and is supported by the Crown Estate.
