Dr. Martens targets US growth with appointment of new Americas President
Dr. Martens has named Paul Zadoff as its new President of the Americas, as the British footwear brand looks to accelerate growth in one of its key markets.
Paul Zadoff, who will step into the role in June, brings three decades of leadership experience across global giants in footwear, fashion apparel, accessories and sporting goods. His career spans senior positions at Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., Patagonia, TRX Training and most recently, luxury eyewear brand Caddis.
At Dr. Martens, Zadoff will oversee the Americas region, headquartered in Portland, which represents nearly 40% of the brand’s total group revenue and includes 59 owned retail stores. He joins the global leadership team and will report directly to CEO Ije Nwokorie.
Nwokorie said: "It is a testament to the power of our brand to have someone of Paul’s calibre join our team to shape and execute our regional strategy. His experience leading teams, working in partnership with wholesale customers, building omnichannel businesses and driving growth at some of the world’s most recognisable brands will be hugely valuable. I look forward to working with Paul and have no doubt he will help to take our Americas business to another level.”
Zadoff added: "I am a lifetime admirer of the craftsmanship of Dr. Martens’ products and the durability of this heritage brand in an ever-changing consumer landscape. The brand already has a well-established footprint in the USA, but there is vast untapped potential ahead across the Americas. I am incredibly excited to join Ije and the team to lead the next chapter of the brand’s growth."
Dr. Martens operates through a three-region model: EMEA (London), Americas (Portland) and APAC (Hong Kong), with its global headquarters in the UK. The brand has been active in the US market since 1980 and continues to see the region as a cornerstone of its international strategy.
