Dr. Martens has appointed Isadora Versiani as Global Product Design Director and Nadia Svensson as Global Merchandising and Product Director, effective from November 2026.

The appointments mark a “significant investment in world-class merchandising and design talent” as Dr. Martens enters its next phase of growth.

Versiani joins Dr. Martens from Marc Jacobs, bringing more than 17 years of footwear design and product innovation experience, including a senior product design role at Tory Burch. She has also designed collections for the likes of Rihanna and Serena Williams.

Svensson previously spent over five years at Adidas (up to January 2025) as Senior Product Director, leading outdoor and sportswear category growth across Greater China and APAC.

Prior to that she was Head of Global Product Management at Australasian outdoor retailer Kathmandu for three years, having joined from the position of Senior Product Development Manager, Womenswear, at Zalando.

Both Versiani and Svensson will report to Chief Brand Officer at Dr. Martens, Carla Murphy, in their newly created leadership roles – strengthening the connection between consumer, merchandising and design at the heart of Dr. Martens’ Levers for Growth strategy.

Carla Murphy said: “Isadora and Nadia are exceptional additions to Dr. Martens, bringing together a rare combination of creative vision, product expertise and international market experience. They have both built their careers at some of the world’s most influential footwear, fashion and performance brands, and I’m excited about what they will bring to the brand.

“These newly created roles are an important investment in our product and brand future. As we move further into our consumer-first model, it is critical that we bring product design back to the centre of the brand, with a sharper understanding of what consumers want and where we show up for them.

“Dr. Martens has an incredibly distinctive brand and a loyal global consumer base. Working with our teams Isadora and Nadia will help us build on that strength creating products that feel unmistakably Dr. Martens, while making the brand increasingly relevant and desirable to more consumers in more markets. This is an exciting step forward as we enter our next phase of growth.”

Last month saw Dr. Martens appoint Alia Gogi as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from yesterday, 1 September. Gogi most recently served as President at Sephora Asia, where she oversaw operations across 10 markets.
