Dobell announces limited edition collections with John Barrowman

Actor and singer John Barrowman has collaborated with global tailor brand Dobell to produce a limited edition series of menswear and womenswear.

Dobell officially announced its menswear collaboration with John Barrowman in early February, with the product reveal taking place shortly after.

Featuring suit jackets, blazers, trousers and waistcoats, each garment has been designed for dressing up or down to suit any occasion, such as casually with jeans.

Tim Grimaldi, Director of Dobell, told TheIndustry.fashion: "The interest we've received is overwhelming. We received more traffic last weekend than we did during Black Friday, which as an online retailer, is normally our busiest time of the year"

"We've seen the menswear collection on social media attract interest from both men and women, with women buying and tailoring the pieces, to suit them better. We're really proud of the collection."

Due to unprecedented interest and demand, Dobell and John Barrowman decided to produce a capsule collection of tailored womenswear, featuring British fabrics, cut into classic women fits and made out 100% wool.

“For what we offer, not many companies do womenswear. We thought let’s make this as accessible as possible for everyone. There’s definitely opportunities to improve and develop, such as with a wider sizing."

Speaking about collaborating with John Barrowman, Tim Grimaldi added: "The whole point of Dobell, and working with John, is that we’re both passionate about making fashion accessible, fun and achievable for everyone."

"We've worked with John for many years, and knew that we share similar values in what we do. We’re both quite focused and determined, when we want something, we achieve it.
