Dior's Kim Jones reveals Claridge’s Christmas tree design

Dior's menswear Creative Director Kim Jones will design the Claridge's Christmas tree, just a week after the luxury label announced that it would present its Fall 2022 menswear show in London.

Claridge's hotel in Londons Mayfair has an 11-year tradition of inviting external creatives to design its Christmas trees, with former Dior creative director John Galliano starting the custom in 2009.

London-born Kim Jones has named his tree “The Celestial Snow Globe,” and it will feature the fashion house's signature white toile fabric mixed with holographic projections in "a poetic interplay of transparency," commented Claridge’s.

Kim Jones said: “It is a great honour for me to design the Christmas tree for Claridge’s and thus bring Dior, London and the Christmas spirit together in this iconic place.”

A roster of famous fashion faces that have previously decorated the tree include Dolce and Gabanna (2014), Christopher Bailey (2015), Karl Lagerfeld (2017), Diane von Furstenberg (2018) and Christian Louboutin (2019).

The Dior tree which will be unveiled to the public on 24 November 2021.
