Dior drops collaborative capsule with Japanese label sacai

Jeremy Lim
12 November 2021

Dior has launched its latest collaborative capsule, partnering with sacai for a project which the house described as a "creative conversation between two designers, two heritages and two cultures".

The 57-piece men's collection, combines Dior’s tailored approach with sacai’s technicality and hybridisation and features ready-to-wear , bags and accessories in a black and white colour palette. Highlights include the use of floral Dior designs on sacai fabrics, the use of Japanese denim to recreate Japanese workwear items, and a special logo, that adds sacai’s name into Dior’s.

Another key theme from the collection comes in the form of the Saddle universe bags, which incorporate sacai founder Chitose Abe's signature touches on pockets and drawstrings. Other Saddle bags mix leather with nylon in an olive and orange colour palette reminiscent of the Japanese label's classic bomber jackets.

The footwear collection offers the Dior Snow and Dior Explorer boots, sporting a layered approach, with the jewelled CD Icon logo in gold and silver-finish brass alongside sacai’s pearls.

The highly anticipated collaboration is the first time that long-time friends Kim Jones, Dior Men's artistic director, and Abe have worked together.

The full Dior x sacai collection is available to buy now on Dior's online store.
