Del Core opens flagship store on London’s New Bond Street

Luxury Italian fashion house Del Core, which was founded by designer Daniel Del Core in Milan in 2020, has opened a 7,610 sq ft flagship store spanning three floors at 123/124 New Bond Street in the heart of London’s Mayfair.

A high profile list of guests attended the store launch last night, 7 December, including model Yasmin Le Bon, English actress Wallis Day, socialites Lady Violet and Lady Alice Manners, models Delphi Primrose, Anna Cleveland, Jamilla Strand and Ella Richards – granddaughter of Rolling Stones’ rocker Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg - and American singer and great-granddaughter of Jean Paul Getty, Isabel Getty.

The store design was envisioned by Daniel Del Core and executed by REV/STUDIO and, true to couture principles, consists of elements that have been entirely made in house. The space is defined by a pale shade of bone, Del Core’s signature colour. A large window overlooks New Bond Street, while access to the boutique is through a full-height glass door with marble handles.

A spiralling staircase connects the store’s three floors, which is sculpted in black-lacquered elm tree briarwood with resin for steps, “drawing the movement upwards”. The organic movement carries over to the racks – made of the same material as the staircase, which resemble branches upon which items of clothing are suspended.

Like the ground floor, the second floor features ready-to-wear, but also has a changing room which is more like a luxury suite, divided into two areas “for a fully custom-made experience”. Meanwhile, the underground floor houses an open room atelier for restorations and alterations.

Daniel Del Core said: “This opening is a milestone for us, as it will allow Del Core to fully express its values and aesthetic while playing in one of the world’s most distinctive luxury shopping areas.

“The project highlights our daring and experimental approach, our love for nature and invention, and our respect for materials and craft.”
