Deichmann continues UK retail roll out with new store at Salisbury’s Old George Mall
German footwear retailer Deichmann has just opened a new 6,000 sq ft store at 31-33 Old George Mall in Salisbury, as it continues its UK retail roll out.
This follows the recent opening at Touchwood Solihull and the planned June opening at the Ashley Centre in Epsom, Surrey – taking its UK store count to 129.
The new Salisbury location is adjacent to H&M and the soon-to-be anchor store, Primark. It spans two floors and is showcasing Deichmann’s array of “quality yet affordable” footwear, stocking brands such as Adidas, Fila, Nike and Skechers.
Deichmann has invested over £500,000 in the Old George Mall location, and its latest retail concept has been designed to offer customers a more spacio us, lighter, and enhanced shopping experience.
Simon Wilson, Managing Director for Product, Marketing and Communications at Deichmann, said: “We are pleased to have opened a new store in Salisbury and deliver quality and affordable footwear options to a new customer base.
“As we continue to roll out our new retail format, we’re excited to provide a more seamless and elevated shopping experience for consumers and be part of Salisbury’s community.”
Alex Luker, Asset Manager at landlord Railpen, added: “As Europe’s largest shoe retailer, Deichmann is a strong addition to our retail line-up at Old George Mall. Our focus is to continue to bring leading high street brands to the centre, which will be rounded off by Primark’s arrival later this year.
“Deichmann’s investment in this space highlights the importance of this location and the opportunities it will serve not just to the brand, but the wider community, and we’re pleased to have them at Old George Mall.”
Deichmann joins several retailers at the scheme such as H&M, FatFace, Jigsaw, and The Body Shop, with Primark set to open a 29,700 sq ft store later this year offering the brand’s extensive range across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, beauty, lifestyle and home.
