Debenhams, the online department store which is now part of Boohoo Group, has unveiled its Christmas 2022 TV advert, depicting a day of family festivities.

Making debut in the prime spot of Lorraine and This Morning on ITV1, Debenhams’ advert launches revealing a festive scene at home on Christmas morning. Familiar faces, such as Rachel Stevens and Jess Wright, tear through wrapping paper, uncovering an array of festive gifts from skincare to Smeg home accessories and everything in between. From unwrapping gifts to preparing Christmas dinner, friends and family are seen coming together on the jolliest day of the year.

Dan Finley, Debenhams CEO, commented: “With over a thousand brands covering extensive categories now part of the Debenhams family we’re well on our way to becoming the Great British Digital Department store and we’ve created a high energy, exciting Christmas tv ad which focuses on that amazing brand and product offering. Gifting is hugely important for everyone at this time of year so whoever’s on your list, even if you yourself, and whatever the request we’ve got you covered. Debenhams has a rich history of being a brand that you can rely on for those special moments and this year more than ever we’re ready and set up to make it a Christmas you’ll remember.”

Spotlighting Debenhams’ impressive range of fragrances, the clip includes already-iconic scents from Alien by Mugler to Prada’s latest launch Paradoxe Eau De Parfum. For those more interested in fashion, Principles, Dorothy Perkins, Boohoo, and Monsoon all make appearances – inspiring customers to curate their seasonal capsule wardrobe.

Driving digital engagement, Debenhams simultaneously launch a competition held on Instagram. This will give customers the chance to win all beauty products featured in the Christmas advert for themselves and for a friend.
